Melina Tsinavou

Melina Tsinavou was born in Serres, Greece. She studied piano at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, from where she obtained her Piano Diploma with honors. She continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Graz (class of M. Chernyavska), the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (class of Jacques Rouvier) and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Jan Michiels.

She has participated actively in numerous masterclasses and summer academies with renewned teacher such as Αndre de Groote, Alan Weiss, Aleksandar Madzar, Alfredo Perl, Catherine Vickers. She also had the opportunity to study with Domna Evnouchidou for several years in Thessaloniki.
Her appearances include solo recitals in festivals such as the 1st Sacred Music Festival of the Greek National Opera, the “Thessaloniki Piano Festival, and the festival “To piano sta forte tou”. As a soloist she collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Larisa, the Youth Orchestra of Athens (ASON) and the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra for the premiere of the piece “Azoth” for 6 pianists and orchestra written by Antonis Anissegos.

Melina has been a laureate in national competitions such as the second “Thessaloniki Piano Festival” competition, the second Piano Competition of Conservatory of Larisa and the fifth Piano Competition “Maria Chairogiorgou-Sigara “in Athens.

Since 2018, she is a member of the “Piandaemonium” ensemble (6 pianos-12 pianists).
She is a graduate of the Department of Business Administration of the University of Macedonia.
