Thodoros Kotepanos

He was born in Athens. He studied at the National Conservatory with professors A. Kantsouli, N. Semitecolo and K. Kalomiri (piano) and V.Patrikidis, L. Zoras and G. Papaioannou (theory). He continued in Paris with V.Yankoff, J.Rouvier and J.C.Pennetier. Among the titles he has won are the first prizes for piano and chamber music of the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP), as well as awards in the international competitions of Épinal and Maria Callas. His studies have extended to many areas of music, such as aesthetics, organ, electro-acoustic music. He first appeared as a soloist and later established himself as an orchestrator, beginning with his multi-year collaboration with M. Hajdidakis as his pianist and assistant. He regularly appears in recitals with an emphasis on the romantic repertoire. He also collaborates with leading opera singers. At the same time, he is creatively involved in the free song accompaniment, as well as with the music supervision of ensembles in concerts, theatrical performances and record productions.
