Christos Lenoutsos

He was born in Larissa. He graduated with distinction from the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa, where he studied piano in the class of A. Kalliazis and music theory with G. Tsanakas. He continued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, in the piano soloist department, where he studied with D. Wolf – Blumauer and E. Kolodin. He graduated with the title ‘Magister der Kuenste’ (Master of Arts). During his studies he was awarded the honorary prize ‘Eleni Mykoniou’ by the Academy of Athens. He has received scholarships from the Gina Bachauer Foundation, the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research, and the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation. His artistic activities so far include many solo recitals, chamber music concerts and performances as soloist with orchestras in Greece, Austria, Romania and Serbia. He has taught piano at the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia and is a piano professor at the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa. He conceived the festival ‘Mousikotropo’ and is the founder of the ‘OutHear New Music Week’ contemporary composition festival. He is a PhD candidate of the School of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a member of the Piandaemonium ensemble.
