Maria Mylaraki

She started learning piano with K. Asteriadou at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki, from which she received her diploma (class of A. Tsitsa – Kounio) with first class and First Prize. She studied at the University of Graz in Austria, from which she graduated with a Master of Arts in piano and chamber music with a first. She participated in masterclasses with K. and G. Polyzoidou, M. Tirimos, G. Hatzinikos, M. Asteriadou, B. Fredriksen, G. Weichert (EPTA), M. Bilson, T. Duis, R. Kehrer, R. Bringlof, F. Berner and others, as well as in the contemporary music workshops ‘Impuls’. She has appeared in Greece, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy. She is a scholar of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Austria and the Greek State Scholarships Foundation. She has been honored with awards both as a soloist and as a member of the Trio Tritonous in Greece and in international chamber music competitions. She has recorded for the Austrian and Greek national radios. She has collaborated with ensembles such as the Hellenic Radio and Television (ERT) choir, the ‘A. Riadis’ quartet, the Ensemble Zeitfluss and she is a member of the Piandaemonium ensemble. She has premiered several works. She was a Lecturer at the Department of Music Science and Art, University of Macedonia. She currently lives and works in Athens.
